Authentic Actor Headshots in Vancouver, B.C.

Top actor headshot photographer in Vancouver

With over 15 years as a working actor, plus experience in the casting world, I know the importance of a headshot that captures you authentically.

I’ll guide you through every step of your photoshoot, so you can feel at ease and simply be yourself. No forced smiles or lifeless stares. Just you - present and engaged.

Through changes in wardrobe, background colours, posing, and expressions, we create a range of looks - from light and commercial-friendly, to grounded and dramatic - all aligned with your essence as a performer.

If you’re a Vancouver film, TV, and/or theatre actor looking to refresh your headshots, or are just starting out, I’d love to welcome you into the studio for a Soulfire Headshot Session.

  • I’ve been training with Ben Immanuel, in his Scene Study class at Haven Studio, for over a decade. I highly recommend Haven for the incredible community of actors and instructors, the work ethic that permeates the studio, and Ben’s passion for getting the best from his students. You might even run into me as a guest instructor! www.havenactingstudio.com

  • The Vancouver Actor's Guide is a hub of information for local actors, including audition notices, a directory of talent agencies, and a weekly newsletter. A great place to find and submit yourself for indie film auditions, if you’re newer to the game. www.vancouveractorsguide.com

  • Need help retrieving clips of your acting work for your demo? Email Frank!

Frank Garcia (fgarcia at shaw dot ca) is a top choice for footage retrieval, once your project airs. He also offers demo-editing services. A one-stop shop!

  • Michael Kostroff (known for his role onThe Wire) sends a weekly video to his subscribers, in which he shares his personal (and often hilarious) thoughts on “the biz”, particularly auditioning. Sign up for his weekly e-blast and check out some gems in the archive here: https://www.auditionpsych101.com/weekly-videos

  • One of the best investments I’ve made has been learning the the Streamlining Technique - a method for line-learning. I use it for every audition, and you can learn more by contacting Erica Carroll: https://www.alchemyofhealing.ca/coaching-for-acting-streamlining
